Okay, stop. Just stop with this adorable cuteness!
When Lisa He of LHEBakes, one of our wonderful customers here at Oh Tiny Heart, mentioned she ran her own Etsy store selling gourmet cookies, we knew we had to try them. We're huge supporters of small businesses, especially those that pour extra love and attention into the fine details (photography, originality/creativity, packaging, customer service, etc), and we could feel Lisa's passion from miles away. How can you not with fancy cookies that look (and taste) this good?!
LHEBakes' homemade cookies are the stuff of artisan baking dreams. This is actually our second package from Lisa, and it took everything we had not to start munching down on them before we shot these photos! The first package she sent us, unfortunately, did not survive until their photoshoot -- we couldn't help ourselves. Eek!
Forget those sugar cookies you see sitting in the window at Starbucks. These perfectly designed treats are perfection in an individually-packaged wrapper, and they stay fresh for months. Much to Lisa's protest, we've admitted to Lisa that we're slowly (that is, purposely at a snail's pace) getting through the last batch of cookies she sent us because we don't want to run out! This is not an exaggeration: that's how much we love them.
Oh Tiny Heart customers know we're obsessed with perfect packaging and presentation, and LHEBakes cookies are right on target. The little details are stunning! And because each cookie is individually wrapped (including these delicious chocolate macarons), they're easy to store separately and stay fresh over long periods of time. Lisa recommends freezing the cookies you don't consume as they actually keep better when you don't intend to eat them right away. We haven't tried this yet, but we'll take her word for it.
Are you hungry yet?!
The only thing we don't like about these treats are that they're too cute to eat! Why would you do this to us, Lisa? Why?!
Her latest Valentine's Day creations are enough to make us grab our faces and squeal, "How cuUuuUuuUuute!"
We mentioned they taste amazing too, right? Because they do. They really, really do.
And let's not forget the treats she makes for our canine companions! Lisa's home made puppy treats send our little Mylo into fits when he eats them. We're talking whites-of-the-eyes, leaping around like a bunny, freaking out, tail swinging, "This is the best thing I've ever eaten" kinda' puppy fits.
Our little Mylo, Oh Tiny Heart's mascot and the inspiration behind our brand, survives on an insanely healthy diet. He's one of those goody-two-shoes, grain-free, raw-diet pups who only gets the best of the best. He eats better than we do! So when we saw that LHEBakes offered grain-free treats for pups, we leapt at the opportunity to try them.
"Hmm... What's this?"
"Smells good!! Gimme that!"
"Mmmmmmf! Thank you, Auntie Lisa!"
When we go shopping for Mylo's pet food, we always stop to buy him the baked treats on display. Usually, these treats are hard as rock and impossible for him to bite down on (even with those destructive little teeth of his). These were satisfyingly crumbly, and Mylo wolfed them down joyfully!
But don't just take our word for it.
A quick skim through Lisa's glowing 5-star Etsy reviews make it clear that her baking is a force to be reckoned with. We never thought we'd be such big fans of cookies and treats, but after trying LHEBakes cookies, we're converts! Lisa, if you ever decide to open a local bakery near us, consider us regular customers. We'll take one of everything, please.
Check out Lisa He's cookies on Etsy and let her know we sent you. And after taking your first bite, feel free to drop us a comment so we can coo over how mind-blowingly-delicious her baking is together. We'll try not to say we told you so.
